Michael has worked with several prestigious companies in the past, including TD Ameritrade and Benzinga. As a Senior Software Engineer at TD Ameritrade, he designed and built financial markets trading tech for the industry-leading thinkorswim trading platform. At Benzinga, Michael wrote network socket brokering servers for streaming financial content and data to enterprise web applications. He also collaborated on writing several servers, including a server for real-time consumption of SEC files, a user management backend service, and a server for consumption of press releases from various outlets. Additionally, he helped architect quote stream caching in Redis key-value stores and oversaw the transition to microservices architecture.
