Michael Dippery is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with over 14 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working at DITTO, where he has led the transition of the codebase from Python 2 to Python 3. Michael has designed inter-application communication between distributed systems running in AWS and redesigned a CI/CD pipeline in Jenkins to support testing using Docker and tox. He introduced the engineering team to Terraform and improved the deployment of cloud infrastructure. Michael designed an application to return recommendations for eyeglasses based on face shape, prescription strength, and other factors. He has also advised upper management on technical aspects of the company’s operations and reviewed design and architecture of iOS applications and libraries written in Swift and Objective-C. Michael has previously worked at Industrial Light & Magic as a Software Developer, where he modified and enhanced Python GTK+ applications.
