Michael Farnbach is a highly experienced Principal Solutions Architect with over 15 years of experience designing Big Data Analytical solutions for companies across various industries such as Retail, Energy, Logistics, Media, Pharmaceutical, and Financial. He is an expert in designing key resource metrics and management models for IT Service Design, Transition and Operation. Michael has also spent six years in Project Management, promoting projects through enterprise milestones and gates in various functions, and establishing and following communication plans. Michael holds a BS in Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer interface design, as well as an AS in Mechanical Engineering and ITIL v3 Foundation certification. His specialties include Scalable, Low Latency, High Throughput Computing Architecture, Multi-Tiered Distributed Storage, Technical Leadership in Project Management, IT Service Model Development and Improvement, FOSS and crowd source development. Currently, Michael is the Principal Solution Architect at starrocks, where he is responsible for Pre-Sales and Customer Success. He has previously worked as a Principal Solution Architect at impetus, where he provided Migration Logistics and Project Planning assistance for people migrating from the most left over legacy entrenched platforms to the cloud. He has also worked at minio, inc. as a Principal Solutions Architect. Michael has a strong educational background, having completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Bell and his BS University Studies in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Visual Arts from Brigham Young University. His technical skills include Senior Software Engineering, SQL, Big Data, ETL, and Integration. With over 21 years of relevant experience, Michael is a valuable asset to any organization he works with.
