Michael enjoys building large-scale low-latency enterprise applications and uplifting legacy platforms leveraging Java with open source, enterprise technologies, and NoSQL, Big Data, and Streaming technology solutions. Michael also holds a finance degree and enjoys getting deep into functional domain while working on business-critical high value and challenging projects. Presently, he is leading a global team of 40 across London, New York, Warsaw, Bangalore, and Singapore driving the digital transformation of front-to-back trade flow management. His team is improving workflow, controls, and data intelligence machinery cross derivatives and securities trade flows (Equities, Credit, FX, Rates, and Commodities) across more than 50 platforms to improve client experience, enable operational efficiencies, and reduce operational risks. Michael has worked with Goldman Sachs in the past, where he established an internal control framework to minimize risk and create business value and increase the use of data analytics to assist with trade processing, compliance, and legal investigations using Big Data platforms. He has also worked as a Global Technical Architect (CTO) for Asset Servicing Technology responsible for the delivery of strategic programs to replace a 17-year-old legacy system with a highly scalable and flexible event-driven architecture to support functionally rich business corporation actions processing across 60+ event types, 60+ markets, and all securities in the firm.
