Michael Liquori is a CEO and co-founder of Airio, a company that specializes in smart airspace automation for drones, air taxis, and advanced air mobility. He is an entrepreneur, curious scientist, and business coach/consultant with over 30 years of experience in executive-level visionary strategy, consulting, mentoring, coaching, training, earth science, land management, policy influencing, project management, program development, and entrepreneurship. Michael has a passion for helping big thinkers bring great ideas into the world involving leadership, environmental and social impact. Michael has launched six primary businesses and mentored, consulted, or coached hundreds of entrepreneurs on business modeling, marketing, customer development, team-building, and product development. He has led 400+ projects in 30+ industries and wrote 400+ technical project proposals. Michael has expertise in geospatial analysis and remote data acquisition using sensor technology designed to inform some of the bigger challenges facing the planet and society around climate change, water, sustainable forestry, and habitat restoration. As a fluvial ecogeomorphologist, Michael's scientific expertise lives at the intersection of ecology and earth sciences. He has worked in sustainable forestry, natural resource policy, regulation management, habitat restoration, flood control, landslide mitigation, road and river engineering, remote monitoring, climate change, adaptive management systems, and applied research. Michael has published 34 professional papers, wrote 40+ Best Management Practice guidance documents, and taught 8 university-level courses. Michael contributed to 230+ workshops, seminars, retreats, and programs as a trainer, coach, or support team staff. He developed and delivered curriculum on leadership, business models, communications, negotiations, and innovation. Michael has also served as an advisor/coach for hundreds of early-stage businesses, a management team for a $70MM corporate business unit, and 19 appointed boards & policy working groups. Michael has a Doctoral Program in Forest Engineering & Hydrology from the University of Washington, a degree in Earth Resources with a focus on Geomorphology from Colorado State University, and a degree in Earth Sciences with a focus on Geology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
