Researcher for macOS (OS X) portion of microsoft defender in north America. Reverse engineer and develop signatures for OS X and iOS malwares, viruses, and exploits. Research and manage antivirus design and implementation for a new cross-platform product.  Detect and prevent malware and exploit behaviors such as crypto-miners, trojans, persistence, c2 frameworks, and common exploitation frameworks.

Developed a tracing tool to assist in reversing malware behavior from a system level using system-extension endpoints on OSX. Research OS internals to guide the developer team for our anti-tampering feature to prevent root users from modifying or uninstalling our product.

As the lead of vulnerability research at CARD, I am responsible with taking time to status the researchers.  If someone has a new target I am responsible for finding the right resource.  This can include projects, research SMEs, or finding the proper channel.  Therefore I must be aware of all previous, current, and future happenings within the company to succeed in my responsibilities.  This is only possible by establishing open communication with the engineers and researchers.

Meeting with the individuals to get a good understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, accomplishments, and goals is essential to form strong relationships.  I want the researchers to be happy, and I believe having the right people for the right job is the best path for company success.  

Every week I organize a meeting where researchers discusses their issues, accomplishments, and future tasking.  After which we talk about current cyber security news.  This creates a team environment, which I believe is essential for strong morale and communication.

Balancing my leadership role while finding unknown vulnerabilities in modern targets is what gives me the greatest motivation and sense of accomplishment.

Assess and discover vulnerability and exploits for a wide range of targets and platforms.  With years of experience with IDA and multiple architectures, such as x86/x64 assembly, MIPS, Arm, and PPC allow for efficient and accurate reversing results.  This valuable experience leads to timely exploit deliveries for the desired target.  Previous targets include Linux kernel, embedded devices, routers, and Java applications.

Assigned group lead position to facilitate alignment of company and employee goals.  Interpersonal abilities and communication allow facilitation of employee expectations and achievements to further company growth.

I am the Built-In-Test technical lead at Raytheon. My main experience is with C++, x86/x64 assembly, and python. I work closely with hardware, software, systems, and customer representatives to ensure the systems-check is always innovative, accurate and reliable.  To collaborate with such diverse skillsets not only requires a sharp and full technical understanding, but requires clear and concise communication. I have a strong passion for the technical work and need to be challenged. I create a warm and friendly environment among my peers and co-workers. I thoroughly believe establishing strong co-worker relationships is the best path to a successful work environment.

In recognition of my exemplary technical and interpersonal abilities, Raytheon invited me to collaborate with directors to design and establish the company's 2013 goals and vision statement. During the event, I was tasked with creating tangible metrics to measure customer relations, and how to surpass their expectations.

In recognition of my drive and creativity I was tasked with designing and implementing the continuous integration server to automate and test our weekly software builds using Python scripting. Not only was I passionate and enthusiastic about the process and the need for creativity, but it provided assurance to the customer of the quality of our software.  The server reports to the appropriate personnel if an issue arises.

Tactical simulation debugging revealed my passion for x86 / x64 assembly and reverse engineering.  I have since created a process memory scanner, manually-mapped DLL loader and injector for Windows using C++ and C#.  At home, this lead to hands-on experience with IDA Pro and ollydbg for code analysis.

I have always immersed myself in the technical world, and strive for greater challenges to expand my abilities. I’m enthusiastic and am always looking for new challenges and exciting goals.

As an intern at Oak Ridge National Lab, I was tasked with designing and developing a robot to expedite the calibration process for the radiation portal.  I was the computer engineer with two other electrical engineers.  The experience gained from my internship taught me the value of communication among team members.  Not only was I able to learn from my fellow interns, but I was able to give direction, information, and guidance to create a successful prototype while maintaining fun and pleasant work environment.

The old calibration process was not only inconsistent, but time consuming as well.  Our device shortened the total process time from days, to hours.  After calibration, we spoke with the physicists who experimented with our robot.  They were thrilled and excited to be using a device that makes their lives easier.   I soon realized how passionate I am towards creating devices to help and ease people's lives.
