Michael has a passion for both learning and teaching and has recorded video courses with Packt Pub teaching various levels of Functional Programming using JavaScript and a video course for beginning JavaScript developers titled "JavaScript in 7 Days." Michael's recent projects include an Alexa skill, a React app analyzing markets, and an Ember app where users share and vote on videos. He loves the aspect of software development that constantly offers new opportunities to align his interests in technology and problem-solving. When not working, Michael enjoys studying new interests such as probabilities or abstract mathematics, recording a video, playing board games, guitar, chess, cards, or exploring new worlds in Dungeons and Dragons. He has previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Blue State Digital/NGP VAN, building in the cloud, and as a Web Application Developer, providing consulting on React/Redux based web apps.
