Michael Wales is an accomplished Chief Technology Officer with almost 20 years of relevant experience in the field of Information Technology and Software. Currently, he is serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Moonrise, a disruptive staffing technology platform that connects companies with reliable hourly workers. In this role, Michael is responsible for leading the company's technology strategy and overseeing the development of innovative solutions that enable Moonrise to quickly match the best available qualified talent to companies for both short term and direct hire needs. Prior to joining Moonrise, Michael held several key positions at Udacity, a leading online education platform. As the Director of Content Development, he was responsible for managing a team of 40+ Engineers and Instructors developing content, projects, and curriculum for all of Udacity's Nanodegree programs. He was also hyper-focused on professional development and career growth, developing programs from the ground-up for a unique role that doesn't exist in most organizations. Michael developed, executed upon, monitored, and measured the efficacy of all Content Development training programs utilized by full-time employees, contract workers, and content development partners. This program ensured all Content Developers on their platform were productive and efficient as quickly as possible and interfaced directly with their Product team to prioritize the future roadmap of features. In addition to his experience at Moonrise and Udacity, Michael has also served as the VP of Engineering and Founding Engineer at Moonrise. In this role, he played a key role in the development of the company's unique algorithm that enables them to quickly match the best available qualified talent to companies for both short term and direct hire needs. Michael holds a B.S. degree in Information Technology - Software from Western Governors University. He is a Senior Software Engineer with a proven track record of success in developing innovative solutions that drive business growth and profitability.
