Michelle Chibba is a highly experienced Strategic Policy, Privacy and Information Management Advisor with over 19 years of relevant experience. She is teaching Privacy by Design: The Global Framework alongside leading privacy expert, Dr. Ann Cavoukian. She was responsible for teaching students about privacy, ethics, and the regulatory landscape of financial technology. She has also worked as the Director of Policy and Special Projects at the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner in Ontario, Canada. In this role, she led the Policy Department and Special Projects, where her team conducted research and analysis, and liaised with a wide range of stakeholders on projects that supported Dr. Cavoukian's leadership role in proactively addressing privacy and access issues affecting the public. Michelle has a Fellowship in French Language Study from the University of Ottawa - Saint Paul University/Université Saint-Paul, where she studied Les Communications Sociales. She also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from York University. In addition to her extensive experience and education, Michelle has a strong tech stack that includes Mobile, Web, and Research Scientist skills. She is a seasoned professional who is passionate about privacy and information management. Her expertise in these areas has made her a sought-after speaker and panelist at various events, including the FTC Workshop on Internet of Things and the CWTA - M2M panel.
