Mihai Costiug is a highly experienced Software Engineering Manager with over 7 years of experience in the field. He is currently leading a team of 10 very senior Mobile Engineers at Grab, where he is responsible for defining the roadmap, ensuring execution, managing stakeholders, external dependencies, resource allocation, and most importantly, focusing on the growth of each individual in his team. Mihai's team mainly focuses on core metrics about the Grab Passenger app (both iOS & Android), working on initiatives that improve the application build time, app start time, app size, crash rate, as well as owning the entire CI/CD infrastructure related to this project. Prior to his current role, Mihai worked as an iOS Developer at Telenav, where he developed iOS Navigation Applications that integrate with car infotainment systems. He also led and maintained a full iOS Navigation SDK, worked closely with C++ teams and integrated their libraries, ensured SDK deployment, and provided customer-facing support. Mihai also coached and managed junior to mid iOS engineers, focusing on their career growth plan. He has also led knowledge sharing sessions across the company. Before Telenav, Mihai worked as an iOS Intern at AXTEN. Mihai holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universitatea „Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca, which he earned in 2015. He also has a degree in Matematica Informatica from Liceul Teoretic "Nicolae Balcescu" Cluj-Napoca, which he earned in 2012. Mihai's technical skills include Senior Software Engineering, iOS, CI/CD, Android, Mobile, and Infra. He has relevant experience of 7.27 years in the field.
