Minko Gechev is an accomplished engineering product lead at Google, with a focus on Angular development and developer relations. With nearly a decade of experience in the field, Minko has established himself as a technical lead and manager for Angular DevRel at Google, as well as an author and speaker. Minko's expertise has been recognized by both Google and the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, who awarded him for his impactful and influential open source projects and publications. He was also named to Forbes Bulgaria's 30 under 30 in Science and Technology. Minko is the author of the best-selling book "Switching to Angular" published by Packt Publishing. His interests span a wide range of topics, including theoretical computer science, developer relations, developer outreach, software design and architecture, purely functional user interface, type theory, computational theory, category theory, graph theory, and web technologies. Currently, Minko serves as the Head of Product for Angular at Google, where he leads and manages the developer relations team supporting a community of over 2.7 million engineers with resources, tools, libraries, and advocacy. He is also responsible for leading the Angular documentation effort and the Bazel developer relations program. Prior to his current role, Minko served as the Head of Developer Relations and a Staff Developer Relations Engineer at Google, where he played a key role in improving debugging for Angular developers and developing the Angular DevTools extension, which has over 170,000 users. He also led the development of Guess.js, the first general-purpose library for predictive prefetching for the Web, and designed the `ng deploy` and developed plugins in partnerships with Firebase, Microsoft, Vercel, and Netlify. Minko holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. He also completed his high school education in Mathematics and Informatics at Saint Kliment Ohridski in Troyan. Minko's technical skills include AngularJS, product management, web development, senior software engineering, JavaScript, and TensorFlow.
