Miriam Wiesner is a Senior Security Researcher at Microsoft with over 12 years of relevant experience in the field. She has authored well-known open-source tools such as EventList and JEAnalyzer and is a frequent speaker at international conferences and events like Black Hat, hack.lu, BSides, and many more. Miriam has received several awards, including the Peak Performer Award, #BetterTogether Award, and Transformation Award at Microsoft. She is also part of the German Secure Infrastructure PFE Lead Team at Microsoft and has completed the Technical Leadership Development Program (TLDP) at the company. At Microsoft, Miriam has held various positions, including Senior Security Program Manager and Security Program Manager. In her current role, she engages deeply with Microsoft's top strategic customers to help them architect, deploy, and leverage Microsoft 365 Defender and Defender for Endpoint. She supports a range of security capabilities in Windows, Mac, and Linux and works closely with security research teams to analyze and solve customer issues. Miriam is also part of the Zero-Trust working group and advocates for Microsoft 365 Defender Threat Analytics and Threat Intelligence. Miriam's educational background includes a degree in Fachinformatiker (Systemintegration) from the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law and Abitur from Max Planck Gymnasium. Her tech stack includes expertise in research, infrastructure, testing, and senior software engineering. Apart from her professional achievements, Miriam is also a mentor and mentee and is currently hiring for the position of Technical Interviewer at Microsoft in the Secure Infrastructure Domain and Microsoft 365 Defender/Defender for Endpoint Product Group.
