Mitesh Sharma is a highly experienced Director of Engineering currently working at Rudderstack, where he leads the Infrastructure and Control Plane teams. He is responsible for managing the growth of the team and hiring new members as needed. Mitesh is an expert in multi-cluster Kubernetes setup and disaster recovery through multi-region strategy. He has implemented GitOps using ArgoCD for managing all deployments and created a unified view of all clusters with centrally managing with help of Thanos, Loki, vault for security, etc. He has also built custom tools for tracking and handling issues faster and handled all compliance-related requirements like SOC2, HIPAA, etc. In his previous role at Kiwi India Private Limited, Mitesh served as an Engineering Manager and Technology Lead for the Joyride product. Joyride is a social interactive real-time video-based gaming platform to provide fun experience from your mobile and a chance to earn money by winning games. Mitesh was involved in managing and aligning people towards the common business goals. He mentored them to deliver features around core mobile experiences which include growth, virality, and retention in the app. He was also involved in all architectural decisions as well as the code review process to make sure they have high coding standards and can deliver value in an agile way. Mitesh has a dual degree including B.Tech in Computer Science and M.Tech in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He was an exchange student at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan, where he studied Computer Science. Mitesh has over 12 years of relevant experience and has worked with a variety of technologies such as Android, Web, Terraform, iOS, AWS, Mobile, Backend, dotNET, test, infra, Kubernetes, DevOps, ui, Java, PHP, Software Engineer, Redis. He is an active contributor to open source projects and has a Github profile, Medium blog, Slideshare, and Twitter account where he shares his knowledge and insights on various topics related to technology.
