Mitul Kataria is a final year undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad. With a passion for building technology that can elevate people, Mitul is an enthusiastic and curious learner. Currently working as an Artificial Intelligence Intern at Otsuka Corp, Mitul has developed an end-to-end attendance monitoring system that can be connected to video surveillance cameras or webcams. He built and trained a 4-stage CV model for detection, alignment, recognition, and verification, deployed the full pipeline in AWS server using Flask, and provided a RestAPI for local prototyping. Mitul also connected the final application to Tableau for further visualization. Additionally, he developed an end-to-end AI pipeline for an anomalous activity detection system and embedded it in a web dashboard for framewise visualization of anomaly scores. Prior to his current role, Mitul worked as a Research Intern at UST, where he researched the applications of Computer Vision in medical imaging. He was a part of the Medical Imaging Team that deployed three models, two of which were for the classification of brain tumors and pneumonia disease, and one for brain tumor segmentation. Mitul built a complete pipeline of CNN Image Classifier for Pneumonia Detection from Chest X-ray and developed a web app where all three models were deployed. Mitul has also worked as a Web Coordinator for the alumni cell of IIT Palakkad, where he was responsible for maintaining the website and coordinating various events. Mitul's educational background includes a BTech in Computer Science from IIT Palakkad, which he is set to complete in December 2022. He has a strong technical skill set that includes AWS, web development, computer vision, AI, Flask, and CNN. With 1.68 years of relevant experience, Mitul is a driven and ambitious individual who is passionate about building technology that can make a positive impact on people's lives.
