Mohamed Ismail Peer is a seasoned IT professional with over 16 years of experience in architecting, designing, and developing ELT solutions on data warehouse appliances and Hadoop. He has been instrumental in integrating various big data technologies, including SQL execution engines, data processing, data streaming, and data storage frameworks, into the product at Diyotta. Mohamed has extensive experience in deploying modern data architectures on the cloud with object stores, cloud warehouses, and has designed a SaaS based data ingestion product for cloud warehouses on AWS. He is passionate about teaching, training, and mentoring and has a proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams. Currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at ThoughtSpot, Mohamed's previous experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Infosys, where he executed the Business Intelligence Reporting Pool initiative for Bank of America, migrated from Crystal Reports to Cognos BI, and developed ELT batch loading solutions with BTEQ/SQL/Shell scripts for Teradata warehouse. Mohamed has also worked as a Technology Analyst and Technical Lead at Infosys, where he designed and developed ELT batch loading solutions, automated the data validation process, and customized third-party ELT frameworks for the project's needs in Linux platform (Shell scripts). Mohamed holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Internal Combustion Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Government College of Engineering Tirunelveli. With a broad range of skills in Software Engineering, Big Data, Integration, Hadoop, SQL, AWS, Data Warehouse, NoSQL, and Apache Hive, Mohamed is a highly experienced and skilled professional with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality solutions.
