Mohammed Yaseen Maniyar is an accomplished NLP Engineer at Zevi with a passion for researching NLP and speech. He is a PES University Bangalore alumnus and is currently pursuing an MSc in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Sheffield. With a desire to break into the field of Machine Learning and Backend Development, Mohammed has worked on projects related to NLP, Computer Vision, and Web Development over the last two years. Currently, Mohammed is a Research Intern at voicebase, inc., a liveperson (lpsn) company, where he is implementing an Attention-based clustering method for speaker diarisation. This project involves using an unsupervised attention-based clustering technique to classify i-vectors or x-vectors given a VQ-VAE model. The system is incomplete, and Mohammed is investigating what needs to be fixed before performing experiments to test its performance on the DIHARD challenge datasets. The technologies used for this project include Python3, Unix, and MINI Framework. Before joining voicebase, inc., Mohammed worked as an Engineer and Associate Engineer at L&T. As an automation engineer, he was responsible for developing scripts for Verification and Validation of functionality of iOS-based applications. He worked with Python3, XCode, Appium, Robot Framework, and Tesseract OCR. Mohammed's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from PES University and an ongoing MSc in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Sheffield. His technical skills include NLP, Research Scientist, Backend, Web, Computer Vision, ML, infra, and iOS. With 3.19 years of relevant experience, Mohammed is a dedicated and hardworking individual who is always looking to expand his knowledge and skills in the field of computer science.
