Mohammed Ahmed is a seasoned Lead Recruiter with a passion for people-first blockchain technology. He is currently working with Aptos Labs, a blockchain company that aims to provide universal and fair access to decentralized assets in a safe and scalable way. As a founding team member, Mohammed has dedicated several years to the mission of Aptos and believes that the open-source Diem technology they have developed is an important foundation for a safe and scalable web3 world where everyone has more equitable opportunities to grow and access financial assets with lower fees and fewer intermediaries. Prior to joining Aptos Labs, Mohammed worked with dotdash meredith as Director Talent Acquisition. He was responsible for leading the talent acquisition efforts for technical, business, commerce, performance marketing, and DEI recruitment. Dotdash is one of the top-20 largest content publishers on the Internet, reaching more than 30% of the U.S. population every month. Mohammed also worked with dotdash as a Technical Recruiting Manager, where he was responsible for building their tech (engineering, product, and design) and senior leadership teams in North America. Mohammed holds a degree in Finance from City University of New York-Brooklyn College, and he also studied Computer Science at New York University. He has relevant experience of 7.77 years and is well-versed in blockchain, web3, and decentralized technologies. Mohammed is passionate about building diverse and inclusive teams and is committed to improving recruitment tools and strategies. He is an expert in talent acquisition and has a proven track record of building successful teams in the tech industry.
