Mohammed Rizwan is an accomplished Engineering Manager with a passion for Distributed Systems. He is currently working as a Senior Manager I, Software Engineering at Walmart, where he is responsible for managing a team of engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. With over 12 years of relevant experience, Mohammed has a proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, programming, and performance tuning systems/queries. Prior to his current role, Mohammed worked at Freshworks as a Manager and Lead Software Engineer. In this role, he managed a team working on Billing, Employee Onboarding, and ITIL modules of the Freshservice product. He set an execution plan and aligned the team goals to it, worked closely with Architects and Product owners to manage the deliverables of the team, and guided the team on technical impediments. He also conducted regular 1:1s and evaluated the team members for their yearly assessment/appraisal. Before Freshworks, Mohammed worked at c1x as a Senior Software Engineer. Here he developed SSP-Real Time Bidding platform in GoLang, deployed and maintained applications using Docker, and maintained existing SSP system in Java, adding features to it and fixing bugs as needed. He also developed and maintained demand side and supply side platforms for Dentsu Media Trading Desk and integrated AOL - ONE - Ad server with the existing system. Mohammed holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai, and a High School degree in Maths and Science from K H Matriculation School. His technical skills include Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Docker, Golang, and Java. Overall, Mohammed is a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager who excels at building and managing teams and delivering successful projects.
