Mohit Gupta is an accomplished Engineering Leader with over 13 years of experience in managing multiple teams of 50+ employees, developing full-stack applications on various tech stacks such as MERN, Java, SQL, and AWS. He is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Paytm, where he is responsible for overseeing the development of innovative solutions. Mohit has a solid Agile mindset and is a certified SCRUM Master with 7+ years of experience in managing managers, Agile Practitioners, DevOps, Developers, QA, and SDET. He has a proven track record of implementing engineering best practices around CI/CD, QA, Code quality, alerting monitoring, etc. Prior to Paytm, Mohit worked as an Associate Director of Engineering at Monotype, where he led the development of multiple projects, microservices, and microsites from scratch on open-source tech stacks such as Nodejs, Vuejs, and MongoDB. He helped Monotype make the switch from a proprietary .Net stack to an open-source stack and implemented numerous applications on AWS. He also developed a Build vs Buy mindset and is experienced in vendor evaluation, selection, on-boarding, and co-development. Mohit is experienced with multiple Agile processes such as Dual track scrum, managing roadmaps, Chapter & Guild meetups, etc. He implemented the Spotify model and helped restructure the organization in Tribe and squads framework. Mohit started his career as an Assistant Software Engineer at TCS, where he worked in the Banking domain on mainframe systems and implemented several modules in COBOL and C++. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from GGSIPU and completed his CBSE 12th and 10th from Sanatan Dharam Public School, Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi.
