Mohit Modi is a highly experienced Software Engineer with 9.35 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working as a Research Intern at Motorola, where he has designed a bit-rate throttling algorithm to prevent network congestion caused by bursts in H.264 video transmission. He has written a multithreaded C++ program using synchronization primitives to control RTP packet injection using PID controller logic. Mohit has also published an IEEE paper on this algorithm. In the past, Mohit has worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Motorola, where he worked on COM wrappers and on Prism, MVVM design patterns to write WPF applications. He also established server to client video streaming over UDP network by using RTP and RTSP protocol stacks for video transmission and session control. Mohit has also designed proposals and prototypes on RTCWeb thin client architecture for bringing platform-independent video streaming to Motorola RTVI product. He has followed Agile development methodology of software development and was the co-founder of the innovation group (iLABS) within a team at Motorola. The group objective was to develop the ideas for next-generation Motorola products. Mohit was also the lead innovator of Motorola's innovation campaign - Idea Space. He submitted 17 product ideas, and 4 ideas got adopted by Motorola for future product road map. Mohit has also worked as a Software Engineer at Aricent, where he worked in a team of 5 to integrate Geographic Information System (GIS) to Real-time Intelligent Console software. He has worked in programming language C# and design patterns like MVVM, WPF, PRISM, Repository patterns. Mohit has also participated in the design discussion of product features and provided training sessions to ramp up new teams for the project. Mohit holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Nirma Institute of Technology.
