Monika Gupta is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the Telecommunications/IT industry. She has held senior leadership roles and has successfully executed large transformational and green-field programs. Monika is an expert in 5G for Industries, 5G/Telecom, IoT, Digitization, and Telecom IT/OSS/BSS solutions. Currently, Monika is the Vice President of Capgemini Group 5G & Edge team, responsible for Industry Use cases and Partnerships globally. She also leads the 5G "industry-focused" Mumbai lab. Monika's skills and thought process are strengthened by her experience working in varied roles across regions/globally - with telecom service providers and ICT solution providers, in industry panels and forums, managing new initiatives & large programs, working with startups, and as a social volunteer. Monika's proven track record of excellence both professionally and academically is evidenced by her University gold medal in Engineering & Technology and her recognition by CII as one of the Top 50 women in STEM in India (WiSTEM 2021). At Capgemini, Monika engages with Industrial clients, CSPs, and ICT solution providers globally on developing innovative solutions leveraging 5G, Edge, IoT, Cloud, AI/ML, CV, AR/VR, and other technologies as the industry becomes more digital/data-driven and adopts these new technologies. Monika is also the Chair of the Digital Communications working group of IET Future Tech Panel. Prior to Capgemini, Monika was the CIO B2B at Bharti Airtel (India). She has also worked as an advisor/expert with Expert networks and technology start-ups on consulting and project-based work and has volunteered on numerous initiatives. Monika's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from DTU, Executive Education Programs from Boston University, Columbia University, and Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and various certifications in ScrumMaster, ITIL, TM Forum, and Project Management trainings. Monika's tech stack includes AI, ML, and Computer Vision. With 27.69 years of relevant experience, Monika is passionate about technology and positive outcomes from tech-driven industry solutions.
