Mridul Gupta is a Lead Engineer at Samsung R&D with a specialization in Visual Information Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. With a Master's degree in Technology from IIT Kharagpur, Mridul has extensive experience in the field of AI and ML. He is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Research Institute Bangalore on ML and AI-related activities for Edge. Mridul has previously worked as a Machine Learning Intern at IBM GTS Labs, where he worked on a project based on Deep Learning and Image Processing. His role was to identify problem symptoms by analyzing screenshots and provide solutions to issues related to Windows 10 and Office 365 using deep learning methods such as YOLOv3, VGG16, and Tesseract. Prior to that, Mridul worked as a Senior Process Engineer at Adani Solar | Mundra Solar Photovoltaic Limited, where he was responsible for improving the efficiency of solar cells via optimization of Diffusion and PECVD technology. He collected parameters and metrics after every process and optimized the process using past trends of tubes. He also predicted the reprocess time in PECVD and Diffusion techniques based on available data and maintained statistical quality in all thermal processes. Mridul has two A1 graded patents and has received Samsung Spot Award and Star of the quarter award for his contributions to the company.
