Mridul Khanna is an accomplished Research Scientist with 4.78 years of experience in the gaming industry. He is currently pursuing his Master's in Natural Language Processing from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Previously, he worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Ubisoft IIT Bombay Research Lab, where he contributed to the development of automatic 3D face reconstruction using consumer cameras or webcams. Mridul also developed an end-to-end tool using Python for auto-navigation of player/agent from point A to point B in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. At Ubisoft India Studios, Mridul served as a Junior Research and Development Engineer and developed a Reinforcement Learning solution for self-navigation/driving of cars in Crew 2 game using Evolutionary strategies. He implemented a distributed system for training and validation of the agents for auto-navigation from point A to point B in Crew2 using Evolutionary Strategy algorithm. Mridul is well-versed in creating OpenAI gyms/environment and training the environment with RL algorithms. He also worked on a defect detection solution in Crew2 to identify defects like floating objects while traversing in the game. Mridul holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology. He completed his Senior Secondary education from DAV Public School, Airoli, and his Secondary education from the same school. Mridul is proficient in NLP, Deep Learning, Python, and Reinforcement Learning. Mridul is passionate about exploring new technologies and their applications to solve real-world problems.
