Mrinal Kapoor is an experienced Engineering Leader in the fields of Data, Analytics, AI and ML. He is currently working at VMware, where he is responsible for managing and leading the Data, Analytics and AI team in India. With a relevant experience of 14.79 years, Mrinal has worked with several top-tier companies in the past, including Deloitte and CenturyLink. During his tenure at Deloitte, Mrinal was a Technology Consultant and was part of the Business SAP-Analytics group. He worked in various capacities as Technical Architect, SME, TL, team member and implemented six projects with blue-chip semiconductor manufacturing, pharma, specialty minerals, and food industry, and US-based Energy Service Co. He focused on Big Data Analytics with hands-on experience in Hadoop, Tableau, Lumira, etc. At CenturyLink, Mrinal was a Client Lead/Senior Consultant and was the SPOC for all the SAP-related issues of the client. He handled a team of 15-20 people, including BI/POSDM, Finance, logistic, ABAP, PI, IS-RETAIL, Interfaces, Masterdata/Idoc. He was the primary approver of production SAP application environments, including custom applications, portals, MDM, PI, Business Warehouse, Business Objects, and analytics. He was responsible for AMS project, implementation, development, and enhancements. He was the primary interface with Operation managers & secondary interface with the client Technical management. Mrinal has a strong educational background, having completed his B.Engg in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Jammu. He also holds a PG Diploma in AI/ML from IIIT Bangalore. Mrinal is proficient in several technologies, including AI, ML, Hadoop, Spark, Big Data, Kafka, Senior Software Engineer, Python, SQL, DevOps, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Docker, MongoDB, Cassandra, Microservices, Search, Java, and Apache Hive.
