Mrityunjay Kumar is a seasoned Research Scholar, Systems Thinker, and Fintech Leader with more than 24 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, and is passionate about the potential of data to disrupt every domain. Mrityunjay considers himself a mix of leader and strategist, entrepreneur and org builder, product creator and problem solver. At Zenoti, Mrityunjay has created and now leads the Fintech Business Unit, with the charter of driving payments and fintech businesses worldwide. Before this, he led engineering and product management functions at Zenoti and also helped set up the customer success discipline. With over two decades of experience in multiple R&D roles, across multiple geographies and domains, Mrityunjay has worked with small startups and large multinationals, gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise in payments, e-learning, and edtech. Mrityunjay is a technologist by profession and educationist by heart. He is a teacher and a coach, and very passionate about education and careers. He hopes to operate on the boundary of academia and industry to solve some significant challenges with (computer) education in India. Mrityunjay believes that data proficiency is going to determine the winners of tomorrow and is fascinated by the potential of data to disrupt every domain. Mrityunjay's education history includes a Master of Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an Executive Development Program from the University of Washington, Michael G. Foster School of Business. He also attended Delhi Public School, Bokaro Steel City, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Bokaro Steel City for his High School education. Mrityunjay's tech stack includes Research Scientist, Senior Software Engineer, and Product Manager. He has held various leadership roles in his past companies, including VP & GM Payments and VP Payments at Zenoti. Mrityunjay is a skilled professional with a passion for education and a drive to solve complex problems.
