Muhammad Djata is a technical recruiter with over 13 years of experience in building culture-driven and diverse teams. He is passionate about using his skills to help scientists solve pressing challenges in disease, renewable energy, clean water, and hunger by recruiting mission, technical challenge, and impact-driven engineers to accelerate R&D in Biotech. Currently, Muhammad works as a Technical Recruiter at Benchling, a biotech company that supports its customers in getting breakthrough products to milestone and market faster. In this role, he is responsible for recruiting general SWE, data infrastructure, and infrastructure engineers. Prior to joining Benchling, Muhammad worked as a Senior Technical Recruiter at Pear Therapeutics, where he owned the full recruitment life-cycle for roles within their Product Development organization. His responsibilities included hiring for Engineering Leadership, Technical Program Management, Technical Support Engineering, Data Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Mobile Engineering, Product Management, Software Quality Assurance and Automation Engineering, and Data Science. By the end of his tenure, he also supported hiring for their Information Security, Information Technology, Quality Operations, Regulatory, Market Access, Marketing, Sales, and Patient Services teams. Muhammad is also a co-founder of IntBM, a bootstrapped relocation startup, where he was responsible for scaling their operations and product team, designing and iterating on their customer experience, and conducting user research to help inform product decisions for their customer-facing applications. Muhammad holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Union College, where he graduated in 2009. He also studied Chinese Language and Literature at Fudan University in 2007.
