Currently, Mukesh works as a Senior Software Manager for Routing/IP software development group in Ciena Corporation for the past 14 years. Mukesh is resourceful in managing end-to-end development of software products/projects from inception, requirement specs, planning, designing, implementation, configuration, documentation, and closure with cross-cultural teams. He has an in-depth understanding built over his career in Routing/Switching packet networking technologies and expertise using Agile (Scrum, Kabana, etc.), Waterfall, DevOps methodologies, and managing overall Software Development Lifecycle involving requirement analysis, system study, designing, architecture, testing, programming, coding, de-bugging, defect management & documentation. Mukesh has deep experience in leading teams on design and development of complex platforms that require creating solutions for highly scalable chassis-based or pizza-box architectures that require High Availability, ISSU, In-place process restarts, Cold and Warm restarts, etc. He is driven by passion to guide, help and groom people to maximize their potentials to achieve greater goals by developing their technical and communication skill sets that extensively support them in their professional careers. Over the span of his professional career, Mukesh has traveled extensively to various continents of the world to have roadmap and technical discussions on various feature sets and delivered them while working with people across geographies of the world. He has worked with various networking technologies, traffic management, ASIC/NPU, and tools proficiency, including JIRA, Bitbucket, Gerrit, Crucible, Jenkins, Confluence, and test equipment such as Ixia, Spirent, Agilent N2X. Mukesh has 9 approved patents by USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) and holds a degree in MCA from IEC College of Engineering & Technology, UP Technical University. He has worked with companies such as Aricent and currently works for Cisco as a Leader for Meraki Software Engineering.
