Mukta Kulkarni is a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in Machine Learning, Databases, and Big Data. She graduated with a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 2020. With nearly three years of relevant experience, Mukta is currently working as a Software Engineer III at Google, where she is contributing to the development of Google Assistant in Driving Mode. Prior to joining Google, Mukta worked at Yahoo as a Software Engineer 2, where she developed data pipelines for consumer data analysis using Hadoop Stack/Pig and Google Bigquery. She also implemented a unified feed that contains event level instrumentation across click/page/link/video/app, covering almost every analytic use case. Additionally, she enforced consistency in schema across all consumer event tracks, providing 900+ columns and metrics for analytics. Mukta has also worked at Nvidia as a DL Compiler Verification Engineer, where she provided an end-to-end framework for performance tracking of various Deep Learning models across Nvidia's Compiler stack on 6 GPU models, including A100. She introduced test cases for bugs reported as well as authored C++ functions (serial execution) for verifying the correctness of GPU-based parallel implementations. She also performed functional code coverage analysis through Bullseye Tool for the Optimizer inside Nvidia's Compiler stack, which was the first effort to check code coverage. Mukta's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka in 2018 and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 2020.
