Mukul Jain is a technology leader with over 26 years of experience in building and leading high-performance teams. As the Director of Software Engineering at Okta, Inc., he is passionate about building talented and motivated engineering teams and leading them to accomplish extraordinary things. Mukul strongly believes in organizational health and servant leadership, with emphasis on execution, delivery, and data-driven decision making. He is an inventor and a technical leader with hands-on experience, and passion for building software with delighting customer experience. Mukul has a successful track record of growing and leading high-performance teams. He cares deeply about talent building, hiring, distributed systems, communication, scalability, applications - cloud, SaaS, web, and mobile. He has 90+ patents, W3C contributions, IETF drafts reviews and editing to his name. Mukul has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. Prior to joining Okta, he was the Engineering Director at Oracle, where he was responsible for building high-scale, distributed services for Oracle's public cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS). He has also worked as the VP of Software Engineering at CA Technologies, where he built Big Data Infrastructure Management product to monitor, manage, and predict Hadoop application performance - creating new products and tools from ground up. Mukul holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Stanford University, where he also completed Engineering Courses & SAPM. He also holds a BS degree from IIT and an MS degree from IISC. Mukul's technical expertise lies in Mobile, Web, infra, Senior Software Engineer, Big Data, and Hadoop.
