Mukul Khanna is a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Tech pursuing his Master's degree in Computer Science. He has a keen interest in the intersection of embodied AI and computer vision and is currently collaborating with Prof. Manolis Savva and Prof. Angel Chang at Simon Fraser University to study the role of scale and realism in 3D scene datasets for Embodied AI. Mukul has previously worked as a research intern at the Robotics Research Center, IIIT Hyderabad, and CVMLP lab led by Dhruv Batra and Devi Parikh. He has also been a research intern at IIT Gandhinagar. In 2019, he was a Google Summer of Code (GSOC) student for Open Robotics, where he worked on creating a documentation index for Gazebo. Apart from his research work, Mukul has also been a technical writer and editor for the ScoutAPM software development blog. He has also hosted a data science podcast called Deep Neural Notebooks, where he interviewed academics and scientists about their research, insights, and journeys. Mukul has also shared his experiences with Zettelkasten knowledge management on Youtube, which has garnered over 1.25k subscribers and ~70k views. Mukul completed his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from SRM University in 2019. During his undergrad, he was a part of his college’s Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (SRM-AUV) team. Mukul has also worked as a web developer at Skylime Infotech, where he worked on a CRM ticketing system for small and medium enterprises using Vuejs, Vuetifyjs, Vuex, Webpack, Nodejs, and Expressjs. Mukul's tech stack includes Research Scientist, AI, Computer Vision, Data Scientist, and Software Engineer. With 2.86 years of relevant experience, Mukul is a driven and motivated individual who is passionate about research and knowledge management.
