Muneer Arif is a passionate Senior Engineer at Atlassian with over 7 years of experience in the technology industry. He completed his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from National Institute of Technology Delhi and has since then been dedicated to improving his coding skills by learning new technologies, discussing with his seniors and colleagues, and finding new ways to solve problems. Muneer's current role as an SDE2 at Atlassian involves designing distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable systems. He is responsible for developing systems that are easy to read, maintain, and modify and takes the initiative to identify performance bottlenecks and resolve them. Additionally, he helps his peers and juniors with their problems and tasks and always looks for new strategies and technologies to improve system scalability and maintainability. Prior to joining Atlassian, Muneer worked at Paytm as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer. During his time at Paytm, he was responsible for designing and developing critical systems such as the Transaction History system and the Paytm UPI system. He was also a key member of the team responsible for migrating the complete Paytm UPI system from NPCI 1.0 to NPCI 2.0 without any downtime or major issues. Muneer's experience at Paytm also involved mentoring team members, identifying bottlenecks in the system, and taking initiatives to refactor critical pieces of code to improve maintainability and remove ambiguity. He also played an essential role in designing and developing the settlement flow for mandate transactions and the Pre-Auth and capture flow for merchants like Uber. Muneer's educational background includes an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology Delhi and high school education in Science from Rukmani Devi Jaipuria Public School.
