Mustafa Baalbaki is an accomplished Engineering Manager at Mercari, Inc. in Tokyo, Japan with 12+ years of experience in the software development industry. He began his career as a Civil Engineer but quickly discovered his passion for iOS development and transitioned to the field. Mustafa has worked with various companies throughout his career, including KnowledgeView UK Ltd., Saily, Born Interactive, and as a freelancer for clients in the Middle East and the UK. One of his notable achievements was the development of Beirut Electricity, an app that tracks daily power outages in Beirut, which became the #1 app on the App Store in Lebanon. He was also featured by Apple in the “Everyone Can Code” film at WWDC 2016, where he shared his inspiration for coding. Mustafa has attended various conferences and events such as WWDC 2012, Apple TV Tech Talks New York 2016, WWDC 2016, and try! Swift Tokyo 2018. In addition to his technical expertise, Mustafa is also an instructor at New Horizons Lebanon, Digital Academy Summer Camp at the American University of Beirut, TeensWhoCode, and a mentor at Speed@BDD startup accelerator.
