Mustafa Shamsi is a seasoned Embedded Software Developer with over 6 years of experience in the field. Currently working as a Lead Engineer-Software Design at Silicon Labs, Mustafa is responsible for designing and developing embedded firmware for wired and wireless interactivity products. He has extensive experience in developing embedded Linux-based products and interfacing, configuring, and debugging various embedded peripherals, including GPIO, UART, SPI, USB, and HDMI on embedded Linux platforms. Prior to his current role, Mustafa worked at Cybernetyx as an Electronics Engineer, where he was part of the New Product Development (NPD) team. He was responsible for conducting R&D activities for their next-generation interactivity products and designing and developing embedded firmware for wired and wireless interactivity products based on MCP2210, STM32F103, ESP32, and nRF51x. He also developed Windows desktop applications supporting wireless interactivity, screen mirroring, and file sharing using QT C++/QML. Before joining Cybernetyx, Mustafa worked at Tekpea as a Field Application Engineer - APAC. Here, he set up multiple pilot projects of Automated Metering Infrastructure and IoT-based Smart Lighting solutions across the APAC region. He extended technical support across multiple installations related to Energy Metering, Lighting management solutions, and EV Charging solutions located across India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Colombia, and Italy. He also designed and developed desktop and embedded applications to aid in the configuration and development of Powerline communication products. Mustafa has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Instrumentation from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He is proficient in Senior Software Engineering, Software Engineering, and Infra and has relevant experience of 6.87 years.
