Prior to joining WhatsApp, Nabil was the Head of Engineering at Ovo Energy, where he built a world-class engineering team by investing in engineering talent. He continued to evolve their Agile & Lean development process, creating space and autonomy for the engineering team and driving key messages and best practices from Agile & Lean. He was also responsible for leading the development of their energy business, using asynchronous, distributed, and de-coupled microservices architecture. Nabil has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Otago and a background in Maths, Physics, Design, Photography, and Computing from Logan Park High School.
