Nachiket Dongre is an experienced Application Engineer at apex.ai with a passion for robotics and drones. With over 6 years of relevant experience, Nachiket has a strong background in software development, including extensive use of C++, Embedded C, Cmake, Unit testing, Git, Agile methodology, and Clean Code. He has also developed software using ROS, Gazebo, OpenCV, PCL, Eigen, PDAL, and GDAL. Nachiket's work at microdrones® as a Lead Software Developer involved managing the software lifecycle of flight controller firmware of drones and flight simulator, planning releases, sprints, development roadmap, testing, verification and validation, coordination with other stakeholders, and mentoring. He also worked on the design and development of guidance, navigation and control, safety features, sensors, communication interfaces, and other related aspects. As a Development Engineer, he developed flight simulators, autopilot software, guidance, navigation and control functions, sensor integrations for UAVs, and worked with hardware such as Stereo camera, Lidar, etc. He also has knowledge of georeferencing terminologies, DG/PPK processing workflows, and Pix4d. Nachiket holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Robotics, Systems and Control from Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, and a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He also has a Matriculation degree from St. Aloysius High School. Nachiket's tech stack includes AI, Software Engineering, testing, and OpenCV.
