Nader Henein is a Privacy Research Vice President and FT 100 BAME IT Leader with over two decades of experience in developing and managing the overall information lifecycle to transparently support business KPIs and goals. He firmly believes in getting his hands dirty and the importance of working side by side with his team. Nader is a staunch advocate of data governance and privacy, and he has led the design and implementation of complex, secure, business-focused systems. Nader has worked in a wide range of organizations, starting with two successful startups where he helped shape the strategy and learned to be prepared for everything and anything. In large multinationals with rapidly changing requirements, he believed in developing processes to scale and streamline growth, focusing on enabling business without compromise of enterprise security or individual privacy. Currently, Nader leads the consulting practice for BlackBerry's Advanced Cyber Assurance division, where he focuses on expanding their portfolio by building a new line of business from the ground up. This involves developing new offerings, delivering them to demonstrate market validity, and then building capacity within the team to scale. Nader is a sought-after speaker and has spoken at various events such as ISF Congress, Webit Congress, PayExpo MENA, Security & Counter Terror Expo, Gulf Information Security Expo (GISEC), and GSMA Mobile 360 Series. He has also authored and delivered procedures and guidance in line with business drivers and developed a privacy and data protection framework. Nader's past companies include Cloud Security Alliance and Information Security Forum, where he served as Chair and ISF Advisory Council member, respectively. Nader holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, and he has completed a Cybersecurity MicroMasters from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Data Science MicroMasters from the University of California. He is also proficient in research science, machine learning, mobile, and blockchain technologies.
