Nafisa Barlaskar is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in designing and developing applications in cloud platforms like Azure. Currently working as a Software Engineer II at Microsoft, she is responsible for building next-gen APIs and scalable platforms for Microsoft Teams (IC3). Nafisa is a key member of the Microsoft Garage Quantum Computing Team and has presented numerous sessions on Quantum Machine Learning and Azure Quantum at various events. She was a speaker at the Microsoft Developer Conference 2020 and the Microsoft Quantum Day Train the Trainers Program for 900 faculties across India. Nafisa has also presented a session on Quantum Machine Learning to ITAU Bank, Brazil on behalf of Microsoft Brazil and contributed to the Microsoft Garage Quantum Computing book. Nafisa has extensive experience in complex distributed and scalable architecture of complex ecosystems like Teams, from design to development. She has worked on C#, Python, Java, Q#, React, Angular, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, NoSQL like CosmosDB, Redis, Git, and has hands-on experience in developing features using Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Reinforcement Learning. Nafisa holds a Master of Science in Computer Science, Specialization in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology Silchar. She has also worked as a Developer Associate at SAP and a Summer Exchange Student at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, where she developed a photo viewing, syncing and storage software for SSBox Cloud and received the best project award in the internship program.
