Nagaraju Polavarapu is a Senior MTS at Salesforce, with over 11 years of relevant experience in Cloud Services and Big Data Engineering. He is an expert in designing, leading, and developing scalable server and distributed processing systems. Nagaraju has a Master's degree in Technology from IIT Guwahati, where he studied Computer Science and Engineering. Currently, Nagaraju is working in Samsung Pay User Engagement & Data Intelligence team, where he is building solutions on Apache Spark based User Engagement Cohort Service and Cloud-based User Engagement Server. He is also responsible for building data pipeline, processing, and structuring big data and building platforms around it. Nagaraju has worked on several compelling projects, including Service and DB Design, leading and developing in building User Growth Engagement platform as Cloud & Data Engineer for Samsung Pay Data Intelligence team on Big Data and Server tech stack. Nagaraju has extensive experience in the mobile payment, mobile security platform, and data intelligence platform domains. He has worked with various technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, Presto, Hive, Sqoop, Metabase, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate-JPA, Kafka, Active MQ, RESTful Web Services, AWS, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Couchbase, Oracle, and MySQL. Before joining Salesforce, Nagaraju worked as a Staff Engineer and Technical Lead at Samsung, where he was involved in designing and developing from scratch in building User Growth Engagement Platform for Samsung Pay application - Cloud & Data Engineering. He was also responsible for designing and developing a Generic Data Parser for structuring and processing all Samsung Pay services and building data pipelines - Data Engineer. Additionally, he worked on Knox License Management Services for Knox Application, where he was involved in design, development, and maintenance.
