Nalin Chhibber is a highly skilled Software and Machine Learning Engineer based in Toronto, with over 6 years of relevant experience. He holds a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, where he specialized in Human-AI-Interaction. Nalin's research interests lie at the intersection of Intelligent-User-Interfaces and Interactive Machine Learning, and he has published papers in top HCI, AI, and IR venues. Nalin is an avid open-source enthusiast and has worked at prestigious organizations such as CERN (Switzerland), RSVP.ai (Canada), and CSIR-4PI (India). He has also mentored students in Google Summer of Code. Nalin is currently working as a Software Development Engineer with Amazon's Alexa Edge ML Team. In his previous role as a Research Engineer with Autodesk, Nalin led the development of intelligent software workflows to enable context-aware 3D modeling in collaborative situations. He also worked with research scientists to devise and develop non-intrusive knowledge capturing tools for intelligent, persuasive, and contextually aware interfaces. Prior to this, Nalin worked as an NLP Engineer with RSVP.ai, where he worked on GRAM, a context-free grammar system to understand, interpret and respond to natural-language queries. Nalin's tech stack includes ML, Software Engineering, Research Science, AI, and NLP. When not coding, he enjoys skiing, swimming, and running.
