Naman Bhalla is an experienced engineering and product professional with a passion for algorithmic problem solving and building large scale systems. With experience in diverse technologies including Spring, React, Redis, Kafka, Flask, he has secured a Global Rank of 135 in Google Kickstart Round D and ACM ICPC 2019-20 Kanpur Regionals Rank 37. He has solved 1500+ algorithmic problems across Codeforces, Codechef, AtCoder, Leetcode. Currently, Naman is working as Tech and Product lead at Scaler Academy where he ideates and leads Scaler Topics, owning the product roadmap, strategy, business metrics, working with a team of 20+ across marketing, tech, product, design. He has led Scaler Topics to an organic MAU of 1M while also building levers to drive revenue to paid Scaler programs. He is also leading the content team to publish high quality technical content, in terms of articles and video courses, with an average rating above 4.6, at a scale of 600+ articles and 5+ courses being launched every month. Additionally, he is leading System Design Module for Scaler Academy (CS Fundamentals, LLD and HLD) and achieved an average rating of 4.8+ for the content and the lectures. He revamped the Object Oriented Design curriculum with more practical assessments and case studies. Prior to Scaler Academy, Naman worked at Google as a Software Engineer, where he built a system to plan and automate PnL attributions for Google Ads by creating a data pipeline, consuming data from different financial and monitoring systems. He was also involved in system design, UI design, working over product requirements. He also worked on an upcoming Area 120 project to implement Web Share APIs to allow bringing more users to the platform. He has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Cultgear where he worked on a tool to manage the designs under development and incorporate customer feedback in the phase to reduce monetary losses. He also worked on the Data Ingestion Layer of an upcoming smart device to create user profiles and provide relevant insights based upon their health metrics. He designed architecture to withstand data coming continuously from million+ devices. Naman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from BML Munjal University.
