Namit Katariya is a Senior ML Engineer with over 8 years of experience across the full stack of ML technology, including research, infrastructure, applications, and leadership. He is currently the Tech Lead Manager for the ML Applications team at Curai Health, where he leads the team that productionizes patient and doctor-facing automation in Curai's product offering. Namit has a track record of delivery in both large companies and early stage start-ups, and has shipped several systems at Curai Health, including a clinical dialogue summarizer for doctor-to-doctor handoffs, a prescription recommendation system for doctors, an offline evaluation framework for ML systems, and an end-to-end patient care simulator. He has also sourced, screened, interviewed, and hired 10+ MLEs & interns for his team, and helped shape Curai's team beyond ML by participating in 30+ interviews for senior hires across the company. Namit's past experience includes working as a Machine Learning Researcher / Engineer at Curai Health, where he researched, designed, trained & deployed an ML model for automated gathering of patients' symptoms, co-led research to summarize medical dialogues, and mentored an intern and led research into identifying semantically similar medical questions. He has also worked as a Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn, where he designed, implemented and launched an A/B test for surfacing articles related to what a user read using a word2vec based model. Namit holds a Masters degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.Tech with Hons. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
