Namrata Simha is a highly skilled software engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently working at Microsoft as an SDE, she has a strong background in object detection, AI, and deep learning. Namrata has previously worked at Visteon Corporation as a Perception Software Engineer, where she implemented sensor fusion algorithms for lanes using several sensor information such as Cameras, HD Maps, and IMU. She also designed and continuously integrated optimizations and ported algorithms between multiple SoC's for benchmarking and deployment. Namrata set a standard for KPI benchmarking practices in her team and designed the detailed architectural design from software requirements and unit testing strategies & implementation for her team's software stack. At Visteon Corporation, Namrata also worked as a Deep Learning Software Engineer, where she researched and developed camera-based 2D object detection + classification and semantic segmentation networks. She used AI algorithms in C++ using Caffe and Tensorflow with ROS and integrated and deployed AI software into ADAS pipeline in test vehicles. Namrata was also a Feature Owner and managed internal and external planning and delivery of a feature under ADAS for a customer. She optimized 2D Object detection and classification algorithms and models for Autonomous Driving and performed data analysis, preparation, collection, and annotation verification to improve Object Detection/Classification/Semantic Segmentation to be used in various ADAS features. Namrata holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer and Information Sciences, General from BNM Institute of Technology.
