Nan Li is a highly experienced Machine Learning Engineer at Airbnb, with a passion for applying various machine learning methodologies to solve challenging real-world problems. Currently, Nan is a Machine Learning Engineer at Airbnb, working on the Relevance and Personalization team. In this role, Nan is responsible for improving home search and recommendation ranking relevance using deep learning. Prior to joining Airbnb, Nan worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Facebook, where she was part of the Messenger Ads Ranking team and worked on in-thread conversation AI and automation using NLP and statistical modeling. She was also a part of the News Feed Integrity team, where she built human labeling infrastructure and applied generative modeling and model-assisted sampling to optimize human labeling workflows. Nan's education background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an M.S. in Computer Science from Peking University, and a B.E. in Computer Science from Wuhan University.
