Nancy Cowen is a highly experienced Principal of Technical Knowledge at OutSystems, with over 27 years of relevant experience in program and project management, learning and development, content management, and agile leadership. She has a proven track record of delivering successful projects and implementing effective processes and tools to ensure company growth and scalability. Before joining OutSystems, Nancy worked as a Program Manager at Lantos Technologies, a medical device start-up, where she updated program and project management processes and tools to enable the company to scale for growth. She led the consolidation of company-wide tools, including implementation of Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration, Smartsheets for project management, and Jira for development. Her implementation of Microsoft Teams ahead of the Covid-19 pandemic allowed Lantos to seamlessly shift to remote work when the pandemic hit and meet committed development goals without delays. Additionally, Nancy delivered a series of Agile learning sessions to shift the development team from waterfall to agile, reviewed the design controls requirements, and recommended changes toward agility. She also designed and implemented processes and tools (Smartsheet and Jira) for project prioritization, project planning, and product development. Nancy holds an MBA in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her educational background and extensive experience have equipped her with a strong foundation in business and psychology, enabling her to understand complex business problems and provide effective solutions.
