Naresh Agarwal is a highly experienced product and engineering leader with over 21 years of experience in building deep tech SaaS/cloud platforms and products from early stages to scaling to over 150 million USD ARR in global markets. He has led global product and engineering teams of 300-400 engineers and has a strong passion for solving deep tech problems, building A+ teams, and building great engineering culture. Naresh has extensive experience in data infrastructure, data analytics, big data platform, massively large scale distributed systems, DevOps, Dev Tooling, commercial open-source, distributed tracing/observability, DevSecOps, AI/ML, cybersecurity, microservices, API security, API platforms, CNCF, infrastructure as code, eBPF, Kubernetes & containers ecosystem, and cloud-native ecosystem. He is also passionate about the emerging PLG (product lead growth) model for GTM that will disrupt SaaS sales/marketing in the next few years in a big way. Currently, Naresh is the Head of India R&D Center at Traceable AI, where he is building an incredible team of top-notch engineers and a disruptive product in cloud-native API security & DevSecOps from scratch. He is strongly connected with the deep tech startup ecosystem in India and the Bay area and is helping many startups and early-stage VCs/incubators as an advisor/investor. Prior to Traceable AI, Naresh was the VP Engineering & Head Global Development Centers at AppDynamics, where he led and managed global R&D centers in Bangalore, Noida, and Prague. He started the India center almost from scratch and scaled it to 300+ super solid team over ~4 years. He has delivered core platforms and products out of India with deep innovation and managed few other dev centers in Noida, Prague (Czech Republic), and Krakow (Poland). During his tenure, the overall product, org, and revenue scaled significantly, with revenue scaling 4-5x to 700+ million USD. He also led the strategic pivot from on-prem to SaaS with one of the highest SaaS margins in the industry. Naresh holds a B.Tech & M.Tech in Computers from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and completed his schooling from Birla Senior Secondary School Pilani.
