Naresh Kancharla is an experienced engineering leader with a passion for technology, particularly distributed systems, data-intensive applications, asynchronous programming, performance, networking, and security. With over a decade of experience building large-scale systems with scalability and distributed consciousness, Naresh has in-depth knowledge of building multi-tenant cloud-based SaaS products, full-stack data pipelines, and public/private cloud infrastructure with multi-tenancy (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). He is also well-versed in Docker containers, Kubernetes, and the AWS stack. Naresh has expertise in developing products for data insights, including data collection, data pipeline design, and real-time data processing. He has a strong background in data modeling in NoSQL databases and application development using NoSQL solutions. Naresh is an enthusiastic learner and implementer of open-source software. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at Nutanix, Naresh is building distributed microservices for the platform team and developing data pipelines for platform data as a single source of truth for customers, partners, and Nutanix products. He is also building a database gateway using GraphQL. Naresh leverages technologies such as Python, Java, GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL databases, DBaaS, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture, data lake using MinIO, Kafka, Tableau, Presto, and Apache Airflow. He has also leveraged databases like Dremio and Snowflake. Naresh has experience with Nutanix and AWS cloud environments. Prior to his current role, Naresh served as a Staff Engineer at VMware, where he built a distributed SaaS application from scratch and hosted it on the cloud. He worked on distributed systems, cloud computing, and data pipeline, and was involved in the design and development of an IoT platform from scratch. Naresh also built an observability platform for distributed systems, including system, app, and DB, and developed a data pipeline and data lake for data insights and analytics for collecting EV vehicles (IoT). He leveraged technologies such as gRPC (http/2), Envoy, Istio, Kafka, Spark, Mongo, ProtoBuff, Rasa NLP, Tensor Flow, Prometheus DB, RedShift, and observability for the microservices.
