Naresh Kumar is a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer currently working at Facebook in the Ads Infra Reliability team. At Thoughtspot, Naresh spent five years building critical infrastructure systems and managing geographically distributed teams. He led multiple teams to re-architect dashboard entities and increase the velocity of feature development. He also migrated the Application layer from SQL-based storage to Graph Store, designed and developed in-memory, versioned and typed graph store, and improved cache efficiency from 53% to 95%. Naresh also designed and developed dynamic auto-sharding of search index to reduce peak memory usage of index servers and improve availability by avoiding OOM crashes. At Facebook, Naresh worked on Search Ranking, where he led the project to improve the ranking and quality of bootstrap (locally cached search entities). He also worked on the xplat Mobile Infra project, where he built cross-platform C++ libraries for Android and iOS. Naresh holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from IIT.
