Nathan Chynoweth is an experienced Operations Developer at Synoptic Data PBC who is passionate about technology and always on the lookout for new opportunities. He has over 5 years of relevant experience in the tech industry and has worked with a variety of tools and technologies, including infra, AWS, test, qa, Microservices, Python, SQL, DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Data Engineering, and Apache Airflow. In his current role, Nathan has designed and supported the adoption of various best practices across the company, including code review, testing, automation, scaling, and quality assurance. He has also developed, tested, and supported software to perform a broad array of administrative tasks, from internal or external microservices to system administration. Nathan has assisted in responding to customer incidents, including developing solutions to minimize or prevent experienced or anticipated incidents. Additionally, he has helped manage the cloud infrastructure, including understanding available services and developing and enhancing existing interfaces between the systems and external services for functions such as billing, CRM, and incident monitoring. Prior to his current role, Nathan worked as a DevOps Engineer and Data Engineer at Purple, where he designed tools for managing website infrastructure, developed CI/CD infrastructure for deploying website code, built and maintained data pipelines, and designed and maintained reports for end users with the Looker reporting tool. Nathan has also provided support for ad-hoc data requests and file processing, using various file formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON. Nathan has a Masters in Data Analytics from Western Governors University and a Bachelor's degree in Data Management/Data Analytics from the same institution. He also has a degree in Information Technology from Mountainland Applied Technology College.
