Nathan Ortiz is a driven and naturally inquisitive Full Stack Software Engineer with a passion for learning, communications, and personal growth. He is experienced in various frameworks such as React.js, Git, Bootstrap, SQL, .NET, and languages including Javascript, C#, and T-SQL. Nathan is also a US Navy Veteran with an honorable discharge as rank E-3, along with several decorations and awards. Currently, Nathan works as a Software Engineer at Trainsquare, a social networking platform that allows users to host their own in-person workshops, as well as discover and book courses, lessons, and activities within their communities. At Trainsquare, Nathan has designed and developed various features such as a paginated lessons feature, single-principle, object-oriented React components, an interactive UI, and a Carousel card feature. He has also ensured input assistance in the form of helper text and error handling for users to easily correct and avoid mistakes. Nathan has accomplished RESTful API using C# and .Net, tested API functionality and services with Postman, and created data tables and testable stored procedures by utilizing MS SQL Server Management Studio. He has managed repository contributions using Git and Github for source control, refactored effectively by collaborating with a team of developers, and participated in daily standup meetings to communicate progress with the team and meet required expectations. Prior to Trainsquare, Nathan worked at the US Navy as an ABH(EAWS), where he graduated top of class for MOS technical training with a 100% course average and received an honorary rank promotion of E-2. He collaborated with his division to solve problems regarding the towing and movement of shipboard aircraft, trained airmen in numerous qualifications, towed multi-million dollar aircraft out at sea, and kept proper logs and followed standard operating procedures for the maintenance of shipboard equipment. Nathan's tech stack includes SQL, Software Engineer, Javascript, ReactJS, CI/CD, Integration, and UI.
