He has over 14 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering and has worked with various technologies and tools to create reliable infrastructure that is easy to use and maintain. Nathaniel is also a published author and has written the book Real World SRE from Packt Publishing, as well as the forthcoming Reliable Web Servers in Go from Newline Publishing. Before joining Time by Ping, Nathaniel worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at Google, where he worked on Customer Reliability Engineering and other projects, including Exposure Notifications and Verilly Covid 19 Test Scheduling. He has also worked as an author for Newline, where he co-authored the book Reliable Web Servers in Go, which provides an in-depth guide to building reliable web servers using the Go programming language. Nathaniel holds a B.S. in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University, where he studied from 2006 to 2011. He also attended Recurse Center in 2015, where he studied Computer Science and received the "Never Graduate" degree.
